I know what you were thinking. “He’s shooting only black and white for 29 straight days. We won’t have to look at any of his sunsets photos this month.” Wrong.
Not the first snow of the season, but the first one that made me need to be extra cautious on my drive to work. Hoping for an early spring!
If you’re tired of seeing me post sunset photos then I have good news for you. In another week or so the sun will be setting before I get off work. So I’ll have to shoot sunrise photos on my way to work. 🙂
I live 5 miles from Lake Manawa State Park. It’s becoming one of my favorite places to relax.

Thousands of painted lady butterflies are back in the area. After the last time they were here in mass I read up about them and learned the adult butterflies only live for two weeks. Took a vacation day from work to shoot some RAGBRAI pics as riders leave Council Bluffs on the first day. Thought it would be fun to get up early and photograph riders silhouetted by the rising sun. The weather had other plans.
